The Monroe County Historical Association offers an insightful and educational guided tour of the Friends Burial Ground at Ann and 8th Streets in Stroudsburg on the afternoon of Saturday, October 21.

This historic cemetery is the final resting place of many notable Monroe County citizens. Learn about the burial grounds’ origins and gain a deeper understanding of the history of this important cultural landmark. Knowledgeable guides will provide visitors with historical context and fascinating anecdotes about the people who are buried there, as well as the significance of the cemetery to the community.

Tours begin every half hour between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., with reservations available at 2, 2:30, 3, 3:30, and 4 p.m. This is a free event, but advance registration is suggested. To ensure availability, please make your reservation in advance.

NOTE: The Dearly Departed Cemetery Tour is a fair-weather program. In case of rain, the event will be canceled, and those with reservations will be notified.
